To Cross The River Of Tears Poem by M. Asim Nehal

To Cross The River Of Tears

I walked through nights where every dream had turned to pain,
And carried silent memories like shadows in the rain.
The river rose before me, deep with every tear,
Yet somewhere in its darkness, your gentle voice was near.

I stumbled on the stones where broken hopes had bled,
But held the fading warmth of every word you said.
Though waves of grief kept calling me to drown,
I searched beyond the sorrow for a shore I could call home.

The past may leave its scars, the heart may learn to cry,
But love can build a bridge where broken spirits die.
So I will cross this river, though trembling as I go,
And find the light beyond it—the light I used to know.
