Obscenities are nothing new.
I have been known to use a few.
Sometimes “Dear Me” just will not do.
If painfully you stub your toe
it’s very hard to stop the flow
of all the rudest words you know
Although you practice self control
don’t use bad language on the whole.
Sometimes you slip and let it roll
But overused it lacks effect
it does not do as we expect.
It has become a speech defect.
I do my best to show restraint
but I admit I am no saint.

Confession time Ivor? I know, occasionally I let rip, which is not ladylike at all. But it makes one feel a 'd a r n' sight better. Lovely piece of reading, Loved it. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
Ahhhh.........sometimes you just gotta say what the ****! There is just no other way to get the point across with the proper impact. As you say, used sparingly and only when entirely necessary, it does seem to do just that. In total agreement........... Linda :)

I would like to translate this poem
A charmingly penned piece of iambic tetrameter containing a gentle moral and a lot of good sense. I'm fond of using four letter Anglo Saxon words when a certain flourish is needed, but never because of inadequate vocabulary. I enjoyed this. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
