To Dream In Eternity Poem by Benjamin K Duncan

To Dream In Eternity

Undesirable want exceeds conscience
Anger usurps benevolence.
Now to hate, through remembered daze
Where happiness eroded depressed ways.

But now in angst all is haze
Longing for change.
Self inflated and depressed,

Longing for change.
And fame.
Such dreamt dreams, inane.

To settle for individuality.
To break free,
Flee from reality.

Grace and beauty that lift
From torment.
A second with you
Is to dream in eternity.
