'' To Help Someone In Need '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' To Help Someone In Need ''

Are you aware,
That by showing you care,
You're helping yourself and others,
But you need to beware,
There are cynics out there,
Pessimism kind heartedness smothers.

Ignore their ways,
You'll see better days,
Each one will be a joy to behold,
Being considerate pays,
Yes, goodness sways,
The sceptic can and will leave you cold.

Be well versed,
Let thoughts be dispersed,
Let no-one change how you feel,
Goodness isn't rehearsed,
You become submersed,
When you do it you do it for real.

I have to state,
The rewards are great,
For both you and those you assist,
What you create,
Can actuate,
The desire and the will to exist.

If you have the desire,
To light someone's fire,
Do it now there's no need for delay,
If we would all aspire,
To make others reach higher,
Hope is what we would convey.

The gift is yours,
Assistance reassures,
Don't stand by and watch as they bleed,
What really endures,
Is you hold the cures,
It's for you,
