We went walking
And so we were talking,
I said it was time that we tie the knot
She said we better hurry not.
I said marriage would bring us security
Happiness, prosperity and maturity,
Instill in us a sense of responsibility
Besides binding us up in great unity.
She said it was against common wisdom
For it may curtail the wings of freedom
Our own individual fiefdom
And that may set in an element of boredom.
The evening was turning dark
And it was time we moved out of the park,
We decided to discuss the matter in a new light
Under the sun, but obviously not tonight!
