To My Dear Grandchildren...Spreading Their Wings... Poem by Dorothy Good

To My Dear Grandchildren...Spreading Their Wings...

Build a bridge, come walk with me to the other side,
Where no one ever stands alone...
Where memories linger...spend a moment...
When you're gone and only the stars know where you are,
You will always live forever in my heart.

Build a bridge, and let it reach o'er the land and sea,
So my heart can be wherever you are...
And let this moment...live forever...
Like the memory of a million glowing stars...
You will always be remembered where you are.

Build a bridge, across the flying years of time,
When you clasp this weary, faltering hand...
Come walk with me...forever...
On the cool, green shores of that peaceful heav'nly land.
We shall always be together once again.

Written for my dear grandchildren spreading their wings...up...up...and away...

A lovely poem giving that heavenly, peace feeling of death.
