To: My Inspiration Poem by Julie West

To: My Inspiration

What would I do without you?
If it weren’t for this love that’s so true
I’d be caught in a web of confusion
But thankfully I came to the conclusion
That I love you
And I always have

Your touch is something I love
Your smell is something I miss
Your words are something I hold on to
So don’t let go
Because the love I have
Is yours to keep and hold
Until we hopefully grow old

You’re like the reddest apple up on the tree
High up where I was too blinded to see
Climbing up was the hardest thing to do
And so you tasted like sweet perfection
And so I hope you never go
Because then second best is all I’d know

You’re an inspiration to write
And a reason to love
So here is what I have to say
‘’I will forever love you’’
So keep this in mind always…
