To My Loving Son Poem by Monti Chaudhury

To My Loving Son

Rating: 5.0

You are the brightest star of my sky,
You are my heart that pumps love around my hollow frame,
You are my backbone that holds me upright,
You are my dreams that make my nights sublime.
You are that vital chapter,
Which contributes a pleasant turn to my book of life.
You make my life meaningful,
You make me more potent from inside.
You are the last hope of mysinking boat,
You are that alluring Spring after the gloomy and chilled nights.
You are that enchanting bird of my morning Sky,
That sings in melodious tune
To bring me back from my fanciful flight.
You are those bright colours who paint my colourless life.
You are the cause of my existence;
Yes, you are the only one.
I love you so much
I love you my dear son.

You knocked my door
When all my doors and windows were closed.
You came to my life,
After I lost all hopes.
I sank deep into the moonless night,
When you bloomed as the New Moon of my night sky.
The first news of my motherhood
Brought a flood in my barren world,
The pearl drops resting in the womb of black clouds,
Showered on me and decorated my bare neck,
With a garland of pearls.
The first sound of your heart beat,
Gave me a sensation of Angel's Call.
You are that gift of Angel,
The blessings from the good Lord.
Your little kicks tickled me,
And made me laugh alone.
I talked to you, I sang a song,
And you started kicking me more.
My days passed engrossed in your crazy thoughts,
I envisioned if you would look like me or not.
The day you were born,
I was lost in some other Universe,
I couldn't believe my eyes
That you're lying in my arms.
Your warm, innocent and cherubic looks and your gentle voice,
Wiped out all my pain,
And I flowed in the stream of extreme joy.
You are the cause of my existence;
Yes, you are the only one.
I love you so much
I love you my dear son.

When I re-entered my house
Holding you in my arms,
I felt it was my rebirth in some other magical world.
You cried when you were hungry,
I too felt like crying.
I cannot tolerate your pain,
I cannot see tears in your eyes.
I lose my senses when I see you in pain,
I get nervous or even out of my mind.
I love that moment when you enjoy my crazy kisses,
You quickly wipe away your tears,
And shout in my ears ‘it's ok Momma, I am fine.'
I know, the other members
Laugh at my gesture,
They think I am a fool,
I'm over possessive,
I am too sensitive to be a strong mother.
I really don't care my son,
It's not my fault if I can't hide my emotions.
You are the cause of my existence;
Yes, you are the only one.
I love you so much
I love you my dear son.

I love your sweet smiles and hysterical laughs.
I love your ecstatic kisses
That you pour on me to express your love.
I don't have enough words
To express the feelings that arouse in my bosom.
At times I rebuke you or blame you
When you do some wrong,
Even then I am rebuked and blamed as a ‘cruel mom'.
Trust me my darling,
My heart weeps and burns every time I scold you,
But you never take me wrong.
At times I have to be strict
To guide you to the right path,
To teach you the right lesson.
Please don't misunderstand me my son,
I promise to make you a good human.
Every moment that I spend with you reminds me of my purpose.
You are the cause of my existence;
Yes, you are the only one.
I love you so much
I love you my dear son.
