'' To Remain In Control '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' To Remain In Control ''

Treasure what's yours,
Earn what's not,
Hard work procures,
Whatever you've sought.

Don't envy another,
Admire what they've done,
Jealousy can smother,
A life filled with fun.

Never let greed,
Become an obsession,
Concentrate on need,
Not on possession.

That material wealth,
Will please the cashier,
But it won't bring good health,
Avoid being cavalier.

For what you want, save,
Play safely with debt?
With what you then crave,
There'll be no regret.

There're no harm in waiting,
For what you desire,
On thin ice you're skating,
If all things you acquire.

Try not to be blind,
Whenever bills fall,
Pay them in kind,
Payback don't stall.

The lessons are clear,
Do not sell your soul,
Make it a career,

‘' To Remain In Control ‘'
