To Stay Is A Myth Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

To Stay Is A Myth

The Nobel prizes, the Oscar awards,
The Beauty Crowns and the Olympic medals
Are the highest orders, most covetable.
Who knows or remember the winners’ names?
How fast you forget yesterday’s heroes!
You still remember who impacted you
As the beloved, the friends and the teachers
Who aren’t any celebrates though.
That the famous is to stay long, is a myth.
