To Tell The Truth Poem by Ima Ryma

To Tell The Truth

It is a morning filled with fog.
There is nobody to talk to.
I really need a dialogue
On what's the right thing I should do.
My lover and I had a fight.
I strangled her by accident,
And then ran off into the night.
Some lonely hours I have spent.
The truth I want to tell someone,
But am too scared to tell it now
To police of what I have done.
I need to find courage somehow.

And so my story I do tell
To this tree who does listen well.
