To The Water Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

To The Water

To the water,
Anyone who laps with his or her tongue like a dog laps,
Cupping his or her hand to drink;
Bringing it to his or her mouth,
Seeing the acts of the people in the land,
Always searching for water to drink.
