To Touch Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

To Touch

Rating: 5.0

I.
To touch yr mouth
Would be pure poetry
How shall I get there?
I dream of that fate of flying through
The ghostly sky
With nothing but intrigue
As I stay my distance,
Knowing if I cross the rivers that protect you
I will hurt my chances

II.
To touch yr soft skin
Would be a novel of big proportions
I would go to the end of space
For a reason you would not understand
But you'll not let me in yr inner world
Acknowledging that time is slipping
Through our fingers
Like the sands of an hourglass
And now night becomes day
I will sleep until I find a way
To make love to you sentimentally
