crying into the handkerchief of The End
should we go, taking our pastels home with us
into the pink parasol cloud cover,
the parabolic
the life to come, the geometry of tears
with no look backwards
at the lingering rainbows
over the arks, still glistening years
God may it not be so
that we forget Your promises
and arrive, your rag dolls flung
wrathfully about an apple green
sky and perilous in wild delivery to You
who led us from long ago
to whisper your name
like snow.
to whisper Your Name
like snow.
