Tear condensed here,
just dropping from a
loving heart, we know all.
The white wonder of world,
made of marble-Taj Mahal.
How deep was his grief,
or was love fathomless?
To immortalize her memory,
in time's ruthless pace,
he kept his timeless art,
beyond time, space, mortality,
to throb their loving heart?
Wonder-stuck, I stood,
and imagined Emperor
Shah Jahan, there alone,
watching the Tomb of Tear! !
'A tear dropp in the cheek of eternity' - Taj continues to entice onlookers as an embodiment of eternal love! Through this poem, you are paying a glowing tribute to the enduring love of that regal couple! A beautiful write!
A tall tribute that is bursting with beauty. Well done my friend!
Shahjahan loved his wife and ordered the meticulous construction of the Taj. Today too it remains as a wonder built for celebrating eternal life. The fading beauty of the Taj and the portrait of many women regretting over not having such men in their life are quite disturbing now... But the question whether for a king who ruthlessly rode over a people with administrative excesses, will an embodiment of love for his wife be the ultimate parameter for judgment of his status often confounds me....
