Your voice carries softly
In the midnight wind
Heavy lids fight approaching sleep
Hanging on your gentle words.

Your strong arms wrap and wind
Around my awaiting body
Sighs of contentment fill me
I melt my body into yours.

The cool night fills with laughter
Sharing thoughts, hopes and desires
We lay in quite harmony
Silent wonder, total awe.

For you, your smile, your touch
It completes my soul
Feelings never before felt
Warm cold veins.

The past an echo
I look through the window
To a familiar future
And happiness awaits.
