Toads - Poem by Samantha Belsey

Forest green
Slick shine
Tongue pink
Sticky long

Pond dweller
Sit Fat
And wait
On lily pad

Mindlessly still
A leap of hope
The air welcomes
Legs strong
Body speckled

To the next
Lily pad
Water ripples

And you sit fat
and wait

Topic(s) of this poem: frog, nature
