Too Cultured Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Too Cultured

I seek to scorch your consciousness.
And leave it blistering in heat.
With an unbelieveable sensation endured.
To impress images concealed left within it...
The ones you thought would benefit your rise.
But has left you in depths of debt!

And you can not place the blame on me this time.
I am glad you disqualified me.
And kept me from indulging myself in that!
I am also glad I am one of the few...
You decided not good enough!
Because I was too...
Cultured.
