Touching Upon Mysteries Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Touching Upon Mysteries

Calculating measurements of rhythm, placing notes perfectly
within them, finding chords that fit words satisfactorily.

Wanting always to touch upon mysteries of life and hidden
truths, lying beneath illusions and lies of other people.

Solidly appearing and disappearing within thoughts every day,
letting everything fall to the wayside.

Longing and desires running rampant as I continually stay
alone and write.

Pleasant memories always keeping me company throughout the
hours, days and weeks throughout life.

Acknowledging beautiful landscapes of nature in many poems
of truthfulness

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I CONTINUALLY STAY ALONE AND WRITE. Such is the life of a writer. Much of her/his time is spent in seeking inspiration and then shaping it into the forms that will communicate to others. But that time alone is another aspect of the Interior Life, the focus of your poems I have been reading this morning. In this one. we are not on the inside looking out, as in INTERIOR VISION. Rather you portray yourself as others would see you, sitting at a desk and writing. But what you are writing is enriching your life and will enrich the reader's when the poems are published. You list quite a few topics your poems cover; MYSTERIES OF LIFE, HIDDEN TRUTHS, LONGING AND DESIRES. PLEASANT MEMORIES. And, as the first stanza indicates, all of these topics are set to the verbal music you also create.
