Traces Of Love Long Ago Poem by Ben Gieske

Traces Of Love Long Ago

Rating: 5.0

Once upon a midnight dreary*
As you by me were sleeping, sleeping
I could tell you were dog-tired weary

As you fell away from me, falling, falling
I silently slipped into A
New World Symphony

Of a dream being buried in poetry
A song idling the time away
Singing the darkness away

Singing my joy to nobody
Enjoying the ectasy of it
Possessed by the joy of it

Buried in music
Hearing the melody of your innermost heart
