Trapped Poem by Kennedy Nayebare

Trapped

It's late in the morning.
With the sky so blue, the heavens
are blessed!
Resting on my bed, staring
through my window.
I think of you again...
From a distance, i can hear the
birds singing.
Air around me feels still.
It's this tangible loneliness,
That reminds me of the first time
that we kissed...
How i wish time reversed.
I'd take us back.
Take us back and do things
differently this time.
For atleast I'd be saved from this
entrapment...
How possible is it for one to eat
his cake and still have it?
For one to be full and yet so
empty...
To be glowing on the outside but
fading on the inside.
For one to be way up high and yet
so low below...
