Travel The Road Not Taken Poem by cecil hickman

Travel The Road Not Taken

We have overworked the road; humans have taken.
In starvation, hate, greed, war, and death, with such a cost,
Humans have an uncanny knack, to be lost and forsaken.
It is time to travel the distance, with rapture of heart, not lost.
We continue to fight, the same battles, both day and night.
Some for power, others for greed, and some that are truly right.
What more possessions, are worth any death, or even discomfort?
Each part of the world has the riches, for the other in a port.
One may not live, without the others treasures, without support.
Stealing and hording, our assets in gallons or even just one quart,
Let us, create a new path, for everyone, to follow and yearn to build.
Sharing muscles of a peaceful heart, dividing crops from the field,
Developing minds, sharing knowledge, instead of hiding our yield,
Building a new sensation of love and peace, a truly inspirational guild,
Let us start the trek, of a new direction, allowing not our end, to be shaken.
Let us, give to others, save our freedoms, and travel the road not taken.
