Sounds more like a big city than a small town to me. I grew up in a small town. No taxis, no buses, no paved roads, no traffic lights (and still none to this day!) . That town does have some paved roads these days, but still no buses, taxis or traffic lights. In any case, I enjoyed reading the poem. Welcome to Poem Hunter!

Well thought-out and nicely crafted in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Jarek.
