Travelling With You Poem by Soumili Karmakar

Travelling With You

Verses of bugs are whispering in the dark
Silence of woods are cherishing tidal winds and fragrance of blue seas, as means of worshiping arts.
The tiny bud is praying for palms to heal,
Where farmers were working still.
Wounds didn't hurt, as the world was cold.
The tides said, " it is the all about her beams of gold."
The sky with the moon and stars is waiting for memories to return,
Days of winter and coldness of the depths of oceans
Are gazing at the port in hopes of anchoring the ship that sailed on the coast for saving the tunes of blooming years.

Tents near the valley are feeling warm by flames of bonfire,
The prince was riding on a horse to tell you, he always cared.

The night sky at ease wrote letters to the moon,
Won't you ask, why did it rain so soon?
Daffodils were swinging in happiness and squirrels were playing hide and seek;
Leaves were smiling as the soft ground found a never ending tale at bliss.

The sky found his princess after waiting for a thousand years,
The long awaited crown with diamonds are shining for my dear.
Sweetness of strawberries and grapes are travelling the earth
By the assistance of winds my unsent letters were faithfully delivered at dawn,
Though fingers trembled while writing, but lips wished to read aloud.
Will you listen, if I tell you it was for you, I wrote all this verses all these years along?

I was walking, and so were you
My destination was near, and our love grew.
In the middle of the night we were guided by the voices of waves,
I knew we didn't travel to part into different ways.
It is mesmerizing to see rainfalls and snows with you,
The old window too knew, I admired you so true.
Know this for sure, my lady,
Rainy days are present to you
For rainbows to spell its magic on our infinite ties through;
Where our ribbons already knew that it would hold us like threads in the glories of blue.
