Treasured And Adored - Poem by Margaret Alice Second

Watching you with adoring eyes
preparing oxtail with expertise
braising after seasoning, following
recipes, adding Merlot contrary
to cook's directive

While your loving care brings total
absolution of a million sins - all
impatience and harsh remarks
forgotten, all differences and
arguments buried

As you show your sterling core of
sweetness jumping around in the
kitchen - you shall always be
treasured and adored
