Trees Poem by Maria C. Pires Costa

Trees

Handsomely standing
Firm
Even though sometimes
Surrounded by slopes
Steep.

They're Life
And a witness of Time
Lived, suffered.
Deep roots
Stemming from fertile soil.

Branches intertwining
With a fraternal gesture
Reminding passers-by,
Sometimes distracted,
Of a loving care.
