Trick Or Treat Poem by Ima Ryma

Trick Or Treat

Trick or treating on Halloween
In the U.S. became a phrase
When pranksters on the night turned mean
Going through a destructive phase.
Damage to property was done
Making owners unhappy that
At their expense pranksters had fun
With 'tricks' upon home habitat.
So the owners offered 'treats' to
Pranksters to protect property.
A candy sellers' dream came true.
Massive candy sales came to be.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups now
Reign as Halloween treat king chow.
