True Friends Poem by Kate Lechoe

True Friends

Rating: 3.9

Indeed,
Be in good faith
With those who are dear to you.
Show that you need them
Just like the flowers need rain,
For a friend is easily lost than found.

Return their smile with a smile.
Enjoy every moment spent with them,
For each has a purpose.
Share with them about your unbearable situations,
Because they will help you come up with solutions.

Don’t let them cast down their eyes,
When your name is mentioned,
For your joy is also theirs.
Therefore, don’t do shameful acts,
As these will also have an effect on them.

Always surpass their expectations
To bring delight in their eyes
And they will yearn to be your friend, for eternity.

'For a friend is easily lost than found.' - Very true. And I also concur with Kelly Kurt that 'True friends are rare and a blessing'.

Happiness is what everyone desires, but many think of bigger ways of achieving it. They overlook the smaller ways which do not cost much.

A friend in need is a friend indeed, a true friend is almost the equal of loving and happy family. A beautiful piece of poetry written with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
