True Gold
True gold is not metal
Extracted from the earth
Such can't give a life
What it's truly worth.
True gold isn't medallions
Draped about the neck.
Nor is it the items
Bartered for a check.
Nor is it the bars
Locked in a safe
Which doesn't guarantee
A life free of chafe.
True gold is the joy
And freedom life brings,
Which means more
Than any other thing.
