True To Myself Poem by Kasia Fedyk

I thought things were different
just minutes ago we have danced
in our auras
entwined.

You don't understand what lives inside of me
I thought you knew me
saw me for who I truly am
I was wrong.

Our time has come to an end
the destiny so promising from the start
so twisted now, just ending.

Hopeless I am but I understand
how this world sees
I just can not see it that way, not the same.

What I find so admired by my senses
my fingers reach for the untouchable promise
but there is no light
I don't see it the same as you do
as much as I welcome it to be.
I have the right not to accept.

Maybe we have traveled before
maybe we have climbed the same mountains
but we do not swim in the same essence
I will not ever understand you, as much as I try
I feel this block in between both of us
my energy so desperately trying to reach yours but you
make it turn the opposite direction
aware or not
you make it disappear.

I can't stand being left with little
to no understanding
I prefer to travel alone, on a lonesome road
to somewhere
with no destination
it truly does not matter to me
how it may be.
