Trusted, Betrayed Poem by Randy McClave

Trusted, Betrayed

I slept in the same bed with you
I replied that I loved you too,
You then laid your head upon my chest
All your sins unto me you then confessed.
You then mapped out our tomorrow
With joy and happiness and no sorrow,
You then told me how you were used and hurt before
I then told you, that you would be hurt no more.
Together places as one you and I both went
From God I believed that you were honestly sent,
I finally found the one that I loved and trusted
I then finally became happy and well adjusted.
We then went to Church and prayed together
I was always reluctant to bring and trust any other,
We listened happily to Jesus's teachings
As we joyfully listened to the preacher's preachings.
I opened up unto you and all that I owned and had
Not one day went by that I was used or sad,
I felt as though I was in total bliss;
Then I too, was betrayed by a kiss.
