Trying To Forget You Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Trying To Forget You

Rating: 5.0

I am trying hard to forget you
Forget your face that I see hide
Behind the veil when you come
Before me. I am trying to forget
Your smile that blooms in your
Face when you come out in the
Morning of spring and standing
Behind the a tree wave hands at
Me. I am trying to forget the way
You weave hair into slender
Plaits and let them swing from
One side of the waist to other.
Garlands of jasmine spilling a
Soft fragrance into air around
You. I feel like in meditation
As sitting on the stairs you send
Furtive glances at me. I wish I
Could forget the charm you hold
When you are with trees and birds
For you are no more with me.

Thank you for sharing this well written poem. But the way you carry on listing the attributes of your loved one, the more you'll never forget her, no matter how hard you try! 10+
