Turn Back A Page Poem by Biff McGuire

Turn Back A Page

When the pressure in life's present book
constrict and hurt your mind
Turn back the page and have a look
at a better place in time.

Reclaim your youth, reclaim your smile
Turn back the page for just a while.

When you're backed into a corner
and your job is full of woe.
Turn back the page; remember when
your boss was just 'Joe Blow”?

He's nothing special (just one man)
Turn back the page and laugh again.

The mortgages payment's always late
on that pile of wood and bricks, 'cement'
Turn back the page; remember when
you only owned a tent?

The wind still blows, the garden grows
Forget your cares, turn up your nose!

And when time stabs you, here and there
with stiffness, pain and wrinkled skin.
Turn back a chapter, maybe two!
A happy mind will always win.

Turn back a page, reclaim your smile
Be happy then for just a while

Yes I admit I have been stabbed a few. I find living in the past soothes all my woes. Guess I will deal with the results of that..later, haha. Great empathic poetry writing here.
