Turn The Radio On Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

Turn The Radio On

Rating: 4.0

In my Kaysville home
Lying in bed, sick and sore.

Started listening to the radio
No eye strain,
As when watching TV.

Started listening to -
1430am KLO
Been around since 1925.

Plays timeless classics
As well as - News on the Hour.

Listening well into the night
Until the morning light.

KLO, A comfort in the night.

You are right about radio not giving eyestrain, as TV (and computers) do. My eyes tell me when I have watched enough TV or typed on a screen. KLO sounds like a good station.

I understand, for I love a.m. radio. It’s ubiquitous harmony. Beautiful poem.

Hank, I have listened to KLO before, but not for a long time. You didn't tell me that your eyes were getting strained watching TV. You could try just listening to the TV with your eyes closed. I used to know a blind guy who 'watched' TV all the time. Anyway, rest up those eyes and get ready to play some chess on Saturday!

Kim, There are just too many commercials, and they last 4 to 5 minutes. Also, the new shows are nonsense and focus on younger viewers.
