Twelve Steps
One step up
And I'm just below
Where I need to be
Where I can show
One step up
And I'm almost there
Another step up and
You just might care
Two steps up
And I'm feeling so high
Another two
We are finally eye to eye
One more step
And I feel I am ahead
But then you knock me down
And I lose two steps instead
One more step
I try to lift myself again
But when you can't see
I step back down in the end.
