Two Time Square Meals Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Two Time Square Meals

Rating: 5.0

Each soul is sold
For one or another reason in world
So it is called mystery
The role is assigned by mystery

The fate is called destiny
That is never known to many
Each human being is unaware
Some surrender to the situation and do not dare

Some rise to the occasion
Keep no confusion
Face it bravely
And come out daringly

Poor struggle for two time meals
So sorrow he feels
Curses fate and praise God
His conscious is sold

So we may find different people
Each one making bid in life's struggle
Countless lives are lost and countless emerge
The almighty alone takes care and manages

The poems deals with various perceptions nurtured by different people. Those of the daring and the poor are incredibly authentic. I quote these lines: Some rise to the occasion / Keep no confusion / Face it bravely / And come out daringly Poor struggle for two time meals / So sorrow he feels / Curses fate and praise God / His conscious is sold
