Ukraine's War - An Event Of Inhumanity Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Ukraine's War - An Event Of Inhumanity

Will you be able to ask me where is my home
will you be able ask me where is my town;
will you be able to ask me where is my friend
will you be able to ask me where is my brother;
will you be able to ask me where is my wife
will you be able to ask me where is my child;
will you be able to ask me where is the war
will you be able to ask me when will it end?

Will you be able to show me my neighborhood
will you be able to show me my street restaurant;
will you be able to show me my apartment
will you be able to show me my pet dog;
will you be able to show me the fireplace
will you be able to show me the bed I sleep on?

Will you be able to stop the explosions
will you be able to stop the missiles
will you be able to stop the destruction
will you be able to stop the gunshots;
will you be able to curtail the death rate out here
will you be able to curtail our sorrows and tears
will you be able to curtail our grief and memories
will you to able to curtail our yearning for peace?
