A flower like lovely baby girl we see
Who turns into a woman from her angelic beauty.
She can become a mother too
And thus beholds the humanity -
With her utmost care, patience, sustenance
And her priceless motherhood, so divine.

She is visible in my mother, sister
In my loving friend and in my lover.
She is the main resource to keep human alive
Along with the passage of ageless time.

It’s very surprising to me
How and why a man dominates a woman,
Torturing and overpowering her?
What right a man does have
To belittle and humiliate
A creator and carrier of humanity?

A beautiful tribute to women. Man and woman were created by God. Woman was created to be loved and adorn by man. She is god-like, yet why must man treat her less and dominate her? Has man become ungodly? Your poem is insightful and thought provoking! Thank you.

An absolute helplessness surrounds the little girl and the grown up woman who is possessed and ill treated by man, the beastly shade of the human being. Your question poses a challenge for the man who has to obviously upgrade himself to true human being in many aspects. Excellent write, Amitava Sur!

An amazingly subtle, beautiful poem, with a very powerful message, Amitava! A woman is many things for sure, especially giving birth to a new person, a baby! ! I give you 10 - 10's! It's really great and it will strike many people, especially at the end. Thank you for writing such a meaningful poem, Amitava. RoseAnn
