Unanswered Questions Poem by Anjali Bhola

Unanswered Questions

On the first milestone of our journey
The future seemed so bright
Now half way down the walk,
It turned out to be evil
Honestly, why am I still surprised?

I mean why should I love you?
When you don't even think about me
Why am I even worrying about this?
It's not like you even care

Now what am I supposed to feel?
Did you ever stop to think about all the pain and suffering you're causing?
What about the laughs and good memories?
What about us?

What about all the destroyed happy ever afters?
What about all those unforgettable nights?
What about the promises?
What about the love that you said was true?

I wish I may not face God on the judgement day or otherwise God may not face me, I have so many questions that have no reply. (Mir Taqui Mir, the god of Urdu poetry)
