Is it so wrong to love him
I ask nothing in return
Just my memory of him
to live on and burn

Is it so wrong to keep him
The young man I once knew
Surely he can't hurt me
like you do

I know I should stop loving him
Unconditionally
But how can I
if he won't set me free

I know I should stop keeping him
in my heart
But he's been there for so long
Entrenched in all the parts

I know I should stop loving him
And leave him to the past
But how can I
hurt him like that
