In California he grew up,
A fan of Joe Montana, he
Watched the 49er's team, yup,
A football player he would be.
Went to University of
Michigan and played well enough.
Quarterbacking was his great love.
But pros weren't impressed with his stuff.
NFL Draft 2000 year,
At last was picked in the 6th round,
One hundred and ninety ninth pick here,
And New England Patriots bound.

As a football career prologue,
Tom Brady was an underdog.
