Unending Search For A Human. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

Unending Search For A Human.

My mission was to search for a
human being beyond biology.
Humble, unity, Merciful, Altruism,
Nurturing were in my ideology.

I met a man well dressed with
refined language and etiquette.
Conceived him true and polite, but
really a blood sucking hypocrite.

Came across a man doing business
in a big commercial building.
He appeared honest and principled,
but an adulterant for high gaining.

Wearing tilak and clad in saffron,
a man was discoursing religion.
I thought him a true human being,
but preached disharmony and division.

On my face, a person heaped unreal
praise and spoke high of me.
In my back, he spoke ill of me as
his only motive was to deceive.

A honey- tongued man amazed the
gathering to root out corruption.
Promised to build a bridge even if
no river is present to win election.

Secretly he gave currency notes to
attract the voters in democracy.
People voted for him who forgot all
promises and started autocracy.

The dark domain of dignitaries is
exposed from the Epstein files.
We remain silent, under fear, but
know about their viles.

Hard to find all criteria in one,
singles are present in many.
Some people are fence sitters;
flip-flop mostly for penny.

My quest continues, observation is
on, includes all along with me.
Let me try to see a human being
till my last breathe of life.
