Unexpected Expectations Extirpated Poem by Andy Brookes

Unexpected Expectations Extirpated

Light the blue touch paper and retire,
I wait but there seems to be a problem.
Maybe its a slow burn I think,
inspiration will explode and then...
coming closer I see the smouldering paper
ah I think another a damp squib
bang,well that certainly was unexpected.
