Deep Cuts

Rating: 4.5

Again you perform open heart surgery
with the skill of many years, blade wielded precision,
a sharp serpents tooth venom filled,

words strip paint but so gently said
chest lies open exposed, cardiac rhythm pulses
chambers empty and fill, a smile slowly rises on you lips,
so kissable but it never reaches your eyes.

once again you slip in and out of my life
disturbing its calm breaching walls reminding me of our bonds
call me you say as you leave.
Revulsion fills me at the thought but I know I will.
I always do.

Performing open heart surgery of love is really an amazing act. Words strip paint but so gently said here everything that will expel venom. An amazing poem is brilliantly penned.10

Wow this is so creative deep and sublime. Is it sarcastic I'm not sure. Your wording and phrasing is awesome and impressive. A poem that makes me scroll down to vote which is a bit hard to cross over to but such great poetry deserves the effort. Soo nice to read from your inking again, Pleez do write your thoughts/comment under my newest poem too titled, a tribute to every new poem
