The forest fire, sneaking up with silence suggestions and
Exposing each branch to its flame
Communicating time passed; time gained; time promised
Between yesterday and tomorrow.
Triumphing solitude and lost time
Running to grab the residue of that time.
Where youth was like the autumn breeze
Fresh, seductive, rewarding, innocent and child
The forest fire that was ignited by time
Is begging for the rain to come.
