Unidimensional Heartaches Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Unidimensional Heartaches

Rating: 4.5

Lightening bolts of emotion giving heartaches of
uni-dimensional proportions, quadrupled in times
of difficulty and hardship.

Having to pretend to be strong, not letting others
know they're wallowing in self-deprecation, needing
a listening ear, yet afraid of asking for one.

Knowing that it will be held against them, because
they dared to ask someone for help, this is the way
of human beings and their thinking at times.

Being for themselves, letting their egos dictate
their choices, compassion or mercy never entering
the equation.
