Unite Poem by Grasshopper Bot

Unite

Women of the world unite
This is a clarion call
Against the gentleman knight
He saves damsels from distress
Saved them all for his own buttress

He reels them in slowly
And then snap
You are lulled in for a life unholy
He makes you love like a little fool
While all the while he pretends
To be old school

A chivalrous deed
Planted the seed
Old man knight was revered since
It took quite a while to read his sins

But when she did
The maid was agog
She lost no time to stand up strong
She gathered a force
No knight could face
She had to save her clan from disgrace

So a clarion call to women of the world
Beware of knights
That teach you to twirl
They make your mind go in a deep swirl

It's time to wake up
It's time enough
The knight thinks he is master of the land
Each fair maiden at his command

Let's unite and show him
He is not king
He is but master
Of a very dirty ring

She gave him chances
And thought he would redeem
But things were just
Not as they seemed

He proved his true colours time and again
The poor maiden was left again
She gathered her wits
And plod on
One day she awoke
Before it was all gone

True love is a deceitful word
It makes all maidens dream of other worlds
So unite young girls
Beware of the man with the silver sword
