There was a voice in my head today
It said beware listen to what I have to say
I refused again It's just my way
I need a face behind that voice someday
Only then will I stop to pray

These games are eating me from within
My mind is slowly beginning to unhinge
Surely I deserve better than that
Forever I wait for that rat-a-tat-tat
I waited for that remark while I sat

A soul can take just this much no more
It needs to be dragged away from the shore
It needs resuscitation
In this strange nation
It is beginning to believe it's all a delusion
