Universal Night Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Universal Night

Walking through town, empty and defeated like the sun having
set already, having no more room to shine brightly.

Nighttime now blessing earth with it's black ebony, covering
everything on earth.

Yet above us stars are twinkling, teasing the darkness unmer-
cifully with a twinkle blinking mischievously in their eyes.

Moon blatantly shining it's lunar rays of softened light down
upon all people on earth.
