If eventually,
We have proof,
That we do have a spirit,
And are not but vile flesh,
It will be thru Art and Poetry,
That we'll unravel the mesh.

Yes! Yes! Poetry will unravel the mess, release the spirit, wash the flesh, and then reintroduce spirit and flesh so that they can make a new and beautiful mesh of one energizing the other. Unless you think the spirit needs time apart from the flesh to fully restore itself. Like the religious retreat or pilgrimage which purges the spirit. Then the spirit can perform its redemptive work. If the flesh goes on a pilgrimage its hardships will lead to blessings.
